What a great place to stay! Clean, comfortable, with excellent service, friendly, caring staff. Stayed near end of June, on our way home to Ontario after a road trip down east. Wish we could've stayed longer, and would definitely choose this hotel next time we visit Montreal.

I think this is a perfectly acceptable place to stay for the price, the hotel itself isn't amazing but the service was good during our stay and the location is very convenient. The metro entrance is right across the street, there's a convenience store across Berri street and you could get to a lot of the cooler neighborhoods by foot and bus. I did have some issues, but I think even with the issues it'd be hard to find a similar quality room at the price point in the general area. Hence why I'd give this place a 4, and not a 3. We booked a queen bed superior room with a whirlpool for 3 nights, and was placed in room 31 up a flight of stairs, which faced the parking in the back so we didn't face any street noise during our stay. Occasionally we did hear steps outside from people going up the stair way during the day, but it wasn't frequent enough for it to be a bother. And we didn't hear much of anything during the night. The general room was quite fine and kept clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The mini fridge is of decent size to store drinks, there was plenty of space to place our luggage and just sprawl around. The AC functioned quite well, and because it was placed right above the bed we had to increase the temp. However the bed-frame didn't really seem all that stable and was definitely showing it's age and usage. And because it shook around so much, parts of the bed was damaging the wall behind it. The TV in the room was also very old and low quality, so watching anything on it felt pointless. The bathroom was very spacious, which we liked. The whirlpool bath was great, and it has the usual bathroom amenities. The stall shower however is a very small and cramped (I'm 158cm tall), there is no lights placed towards nor above the shower so it was quite dark. And the bathroom door would open towards the shower, so it'd just further block any light from entering the stall. The free breakfast was alright, the options are very simple (toast, bagel, english muffin and your usual spreads, cup yogurt, coffee, tea, apple juice and selection of fruits). Employees kept coming by to keep the area cleaned and re-fill things as needed.

We stayed in the two-room suite (it was the only room available) and it was terrific. Spacious, character, chairs and a sofa, table, small fridge, quiet. The staff was very helpful and courteous (adjusted AC when we asked). We loved the free parking out back; parking spaces were available both nights but its first-come first serve. We used the metro, too, right across the street (entrance is pretty grungy but great service to get around the city). You can walk a couple blocks to Saint Denis and all the action there. We felt very lucky to find it.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights early July and had a wonderful experience. The location is great, very close to a lot of nice places by foot and you have the Sherbrooke metro station which is a 2 minute walk away. Our room was very clean and despite the AC not being able to accommodate lower than 72°F was sufficiently cool for our needs. Management was also very polite and kind throughout our stay. We definitely recommend this hotel and would consider staying here again if we visit Montreal in the future.

I stayed for 3 nights, and it was great. The service went above and beyond to accommodate which I really appreciated. Especially as a solo traveler the budget room is perfect and makes a trip affordable. It's also an authentic feel that you don't get at a giant modern-style hotel chain. Location is well-placed either a 1-2ish block walk to Sherbrooke station and walking to downtown is certainly possible. It felt like true authentic Montreal. I would definitely come back if I found myself in Montreal again.
